Community Involvement
COMMUNITY SUPPORT/SPONSORSHIPS -
Westar and its employees have a responsibility to the Nation
and to the communities in which we work and live. We fulfill this responsibility
by participating in a variety of charitable and community support activities.
Westar also believes that it can best fulfill its obligations as a for-profit
enterprise by combining best business practices, investments in technology
and people, and support for customer, community, and charitable programs.
We therefore also support professional societies that advance the needs
of our people, customer programs that support the interests of our Nation,
and educational institutions that develop the next generation of technical
leaders.
Westar Aerospace & Defense Group Inc. is a Corporate Member of the
National Defense Industrial Association, Army Aviation Association of
America, Association of the United States Army, International Test and
Evaluation Association and Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce.
We also support the following professional organizations:
Air Defense Artillery Association, U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense
Association, Alabama Gerontological Society, Huntsville Aerospace Marketing
Association and Huntsville Association of Technical Societies.

University of Missouri-Columbia under the Westar Systems
Engineering and Software Development Scholarships; Auburn University,
University of Alabama, the Army Aviation Association of America's
National Westar Scholarship; the Army Aviation Association of America
Tennessee Valley Chapter's and Stan Cagle Memorial Scholarships.
