Test Engineering & Data Evaluation
One of Westar’s historical core competencies lies within the exciting field of Test and Evaluation. Westar develops comprehensive and cost effective Test and Evaluation Master Plans, to provide information about critical operational performance so that decision makers can act. We frequently are engaged during new system development to ensure test objectives are thoroughly understood, criteria is adequately defined, and testing is conducted IAW the applicable regulations and requirements. Once data collection from testing is completed, we analyze results and prepare reports to validate test results. Our thorough understanding of MIL-STDs and their impact to equipment used in the field, allow us to influence design changes to ensure equipment or systems will perform in the battlefield as intended. For instance, Westar personnel made significant technical recommendations to the Blue Force Tracker and Army Aviation Command and Control System (A2C2S) systems during testing that prevented delays in fielding this critical equipment to soldiers engaged in the Global War on Terrorism.
