Performance Planning Calculator

The Performance Planning Calculator (PPC#) is Westar’s
second-generation, end-user application that allows input, calculation,
preview and printing of Performance Planning Cards (PPC) and
Take-Off-And-Landing (TOLD) cards. The application uses
Flight Performance Models to determine
aircraft capabilities and limitations, and provides both on-screen and
hardcopy output of the standard performance planning cards. The software
also “communicates” with the MPS via the Mission
Planning Module. PPC# will automatically extract required data
from the active mission planner route and use it for calculating the PPC
or TOLD.
The modular design allows for additional “plug-ins,” such as a route
plot indicating torque available and required across the
Mission Planning System route.
PPC# enables:
• the user to select any supported FPM (rotary and fixed wing)
• customizable display and layout
• the printing of required pre-mission PPC or TOLD
• multiple reports (including user-customizable reports via XSLT)
• plug-ins as additional requirements emerge, e.g.:
--route plotting
--validation factor worksheet
--directional control margin
• operating stand-alone, or
• connecting directly to the Mission Planning System
--accepts waypoint data to associate to takeoff, cruise, and landing
conditions
--reduces redundant planning
--accepts DAFIF data
