$90M Software Support Contract Awarded to Westar
October 7, 2005, Ft. Campbell, KY. Westar was awarded a contract to provide Enterprise Resource Management and Technology support to the US Army’s Program Manager, Automated Logistics Information Systems, and to the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR). The contract value was over $90M.
Westar will be responsible for the fielding, training and post-deployment software support of the aviation unit-level logistics system for all active Army, Reserve and National Guard units around the world and for all aviation rotary wing weapon system platforms Under the contract, Westar is responsible for the fielding and sustainment of the software on over 3500 aircraft and the training for over 50,000 personnel world-wide.
Jim Marsh, Westar’s Senior Vice President for Logistics Services said about the award, “We are extremely proud of the opportunity to provide the aviation war fighter with the most advanced logistics management system, including software, training, and operations to enhance overall mission effectiveness.”
For the 160th SOAR, Westar will continue development, integration, testing,
fielding, and sustainment of new software modules and product enhancements
to the Common Transitional System–Army (CTS-A) Program and provide
other software engineering, logistics, and information technology support
to SOAR at Ft Campbell KY, Savannah, GA, Republic of Korea (ROK), Huntsville,
AL and other designated locations worldwide.
