Westar appoints Kathy Cagle VP of Human Resources
HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Oct. 16, 2007─ Westar Aerospace & Defense
Group, Inc., has appointed Kathy Cagle to Vice President of Human
Resources, effective Oct. 16, 2007.
In her new position, Cagle will be responsible for leading the
development and execution of company-wide HR programs and
initiatives that support Westar’s business goals and strategies,
particularly the recruiting, training, development and retention of
highly skilled professionals.
Prior to her appointment, Cagle had served as Manager of Westar’s
Alabama HR team, responsible for staffing and recruiting, employee
relations, compensation, training and benefits administration. She
joined the company in Dec. 2006.
“We selected Kathy from a deep field of talented applicants for what
we consider is one of the most critical positions within our
organization,” said Westar President Garrett Martz.
Cagle brings to Westar more than 20 years of HR management
experience. From 2001 to 2006, she had held various HR managerial
positions with Sanmina-SCI, most recently as HR Manager, Southern
Region, supporting the company’s aerospace and defense, computing
and medical divisions. Prior to that, she honed her recruiting
skills at Snelling Search in Huntsville from 1998 to 2001.
Cagle earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of
Tennessee.
