QinetiQ North America Wins Contract for C4ISR Support

PHILADELPHIA, May 13, 2009— The Space and Naval Warfare (SPAWAR) Systems Center Pacific (SSC-Pacific) awarded QinetiQ North America’s Systems Engineering Group a five-year contract to support the Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Programs Office Philadelphia, Product Distribution Center (PDC).

The five-year contract, awarded under the Seaport Enhanced (SeaPort-e) contract vehicle, has a one-year base period of performance, four one-year options, and a ceiling value of $7.2 million.

The SSC-Pacific focuses on the acquisition and support of military-related C4ISR systems. Under the SeaPort-e contract, QinetiQ North America will provide support services to the PDC by opening an IT equipment warehouse, providing inventory management, material handling, shipping, receiving and quality assurance services. The company will help the PDC pull C4ISR components from stock for hardware and software integration and, after these tasks are complete, ship them to Department of Defense sites around the world.

The PDC supports multiple projects through the C4ISR Programs Office, such as Imagery Product Library (IPL), National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency Deployable Systems (NDS), Distributed Common Ground Station, Navy (DCGS-N), Coast Guard Deepwater Project, and Coast Guard Mission Planning (CG-MP), to name but a few of the more than 20 major programs currently under support.

“We are thankful for the opportunity to demonstrate the full extent of our company’s knowledge and expertise in process management, as well as our in-depth understanding of customer needs and how to resolve them,” said Hank Staub, PDC Operations Manager, Defense Solutions Sector, QinetiQ North America.
