SimAuthor Appoints Duncan Director of International Strategic Business
Development
BOULDER, Colo., May 19, 2009— SimAuthor, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of
QinetiQ North America’s Systems Engineering Group, has appointed William Duncan
as its Director of International Strategic Business Development.
Duncan will be responsible for leading the growth and expansion of SimAuthor’s
flight crew training debrief systems, as well as its flight data visualization
and analysis products and services within the international aerospace
marketplace, both civil and defense.
As a leading provider of flight simulation subsystems, data analysis and
visualization software, SimAuthor develops commercial, off-the-shelf (COTS)
applications for this growing aerospace market niche. The company’s software
supports military and commercial airline programs designed to improve flight
maintenance, operations, safety and training.
Prior to joining SimAuthor, Duncan was the Director of Teledyne Controls’ Flight
Data Monitoring and Analysis (FDM/FDA) Simulation and Services business,
responsible for total company operations in Ottawa, Canada and London-Heathrow,
England. Before that, he directed the sales and marketing of Teledyne Controls’
Simulation Products, working closely with Civil Airlines and OEMs, such as
Airbus, Boeing, CAE, Lockheed Martin, and Thales, to name a few.
Duncan brings to SimAuthor nearly 30 years of experience in the sales and
marketing of FDM and FDA-related products and services.
